Comstock Hall (Ithaca, New York) : ウィキペディア英語版 | Comstock Hall (Ithaca, New York)
Comstock Hall is a building of Cornell University. It was built in 1911 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.〔 It was designed by Green & Wicks. The "old" Comstock Hall was built by New York State for the Entomology Department, but in the 1980s, it was sold to Cornell so that mainframe computers could be relocated from Langmuir Laboratory. As a result, a new, state-funded Entomology Department building was named Comstock Hall in 1985, and the historic building has been renamed the Computing and Communications Center. The building was named in honor of John Henry Comstock. Comstock Hall appears in popular culture with its mention in NBC's ''The Office''. In a conversation between Dwight and Andy, "hangin' out" at Comstock Hall is mentioned. This comment, however, does not make much sense, as Comstock Hall is not typically thought of as a building where students at Cornell socialize in their spare time. ==References==
